Nethy Bridge is a perfect place from which to explore Speyside.  There are lots of local activities to try:

  • Golf - Abernethy Golf Club, Boat of Garten Golf Club, Grantown on Spey Golf Club, Craggan Mill, Carrbridge
  • Local shops  - a visit to Michael Mustard the butcher is a must for carnivores, and Nethy Bridge Stores will cater for most other supplies.  Both will arrange for food to be delivered for your arrival click here to arrange an advance food order. The Spey Valley Smokehouse is just 10 minutes away.
  • Visit the Heatherbrae Hotel or the Mountview Hotel for a drink or evening meal.  Both are in walking distance
  • Tennis courts - two all-weather courts behind the community centre.  Racquets can be hired from Nethy Bridge Stores
  • Fishing -  Permits for Salmon fishing on the Spey, and for Trout fishing on local lochs are available from local hotels and from Allen's in Boat of Garten
  • Cycle hire
  • Bowling
  • Explore Abernethy - waymarked forest trails
  • Abernethy Highland Games - held on the second Saturday in August
  • Landmark Heritage Centre
  • Revack Estate - walks, adventure playground, gift shop and restaurant, garden centre
  • Cairngorm Funicular
  • Swimming in Aviemore or Coylumbridge
  • Skiing on Cairngorm Mountain or The Lecht
  • Water sports at Loch Morlich or Loch Insh
  • Walking
